TITAN QUEST II / SYSTEM

Loot Filter, Junk, Favorite, and Sell All in Titan Quest II

The current Loot Filter is a per-character rarity filter. Use it to reduce ground labels, then use Junk, Favorite, and Sell All to sort the items you inspect.

01 / QUICK-ANSWER

What the current Loot Filter can do

In Content Update 7, the Loot Filter can filter ground loot by rarity and is configured separately for each character in the Character tab of the in-game options. It is an intentionally limited first implementation, so do not expect affix, item-type, socketable, or build-specific rules unless a later update explicitly adds them.

Use the Loot Filter for the first pass, inspect the items that remain visible, mark unwanted inventory items as Junk, protect keepers with Favorite, and use Sell All at a vendor only after a final review. The exact current control prompts and the full list of rarity choices are in-game confirmation required.

02 / SCOPE

Early Access scope and build status

This draft covers Content Update 7 through Chapter 4, Wild Lands. The last official announcement that published a complete build string was Hotfix 3, 0.6.0-public.133316+win.2810, on July 17, 2026.

A further hotfix was announced on July 22 without a number or complete build string. The current executable build is therefore in-game confirmation required. The verifiedBuild field records the last fully identified official build, not a build confirmed by launching the game.

03 / PREREQUISITES

What to decide before filtering

Decide which rarities you still need to inspect on this character before changing the filter. The setting is per character, so another character may need a different visibility threshold.

Treat rarity as an initial visibility rule rather than a complete item evaluation. Content Update 7 identifies rarity as the only supported filter dimension, while Charms and Relics have their own bonuses, completion bonuses, and equipment compatibility that still require tooltip inspection.

04 / WORKFLOW

A safe item-triage workflow

First, open the Character tab in the in-game options and choose the rarity visibility that matches the character you are playing. Second, collect and inspect the visible items that could matter to the character. Third, mark obvious rejects as Junk and mark items you intend to keep as Favorite. Fourth, revisit socketable equipment and separate Charms or Relics before selling. Finally, use Sell All at a vendor only after checking the Junk group.

Favorite items cannot be sold according to the official patch notes. Junk items are sold together through Sell All. The exact button names, controller inputs, confirmation prompts, and whether every inventory view exposes the same actions are in-game confirmation required.

05 / DECISION-GUIDE

Which tool to use

Use Loot Filter when the problem is too many ground labels from rarities you have decided not to inspect. Use Junk when an item is already in the inventory and you intend to include it in the next grouped sale. Use Favorite when an item must be protected from sale while you compare it, store it, or prepare it for a Charm or Relic. Use Sell All only for the final vendor action after checking those flags.

If you are uncertain about an item's affixes, compatible socketable upgrade, or role in another setup, do not let rarity alone make the decision. Keep it unmarked or protect it with Favorite until the tooltip comparison is complete.

06 / SOCKETABLES

How Charms and Relics fit the workflow

Charms and Relics are not substitutes for the Loot Filter. They are socketable upgrades evaluated by their own tooltip, compatible equipment, fragment state, and completion bonus. Review them and any equipment carrying them before a vendor pass.

Content Update 7 confirms a safety behavior for socketed equipment: attempting to sell the equipment automatically unsockets the Charm or Relic and sells only the base item. Do not extend that statement to other inventory actions without in-game confirmation.

07 / COMMON-MISTAKES

Common mistakes and failure cases

Do not copy a sophisticated filter rule set from another ARPG into Titan Quest II; the current official feature supports rarity filtering only. Do not assume one character's setting applies to every character. Do not mark a possible keeper as Junk before reading its tooltip.

Do not rely on old controller instructions without testing them. Hotfix 1 fixed problems with Junk and locked item actions on gamepad and with item flags in multiplayer, which shows that these controls and flags can change during Early Access.

08 / UPDATE-NOTE

What to recheck after an update

Recheck this guide when patch notes mention Loot Filter, rarity, Character options, item flags, Junk, Favorite, Sell All, inventory, vendors, gamepad, or multiplayer replication. The official notes already say the filter will expand beyond its first limited implementation.

Before publication, confirm the current executable build, exact rarity options, current control prompts, and flag behavior in-game. Retain draft status while those items remain in-game confirmation required.
