Savagery Bleeding 2H Primalist (HCSSF Beginner Build)
A Shaman + Berserker two-handed Savagery build that shreds bleeding resistance with Devouring Swarm and Bonechilling Cry, then sustains through Wendigo Totem and Rallying Cry. Its primary source is a v1.3.0.7 HCSSF guide leveled fully from scratch without merits, mandates, or experience gear. The author demonstrates major Ultimate content and SR 26-27 farming on budget gear. The current v1.3.0.8 notes were also checked and contain no build-breaking change.
Savagery
The primary source demonstrates campaign bosses, Nemeses, skeleton-key dungeons, quick SR 26-27 runs, Lokarr, and the Bourbon Clones on budget gear in Ultimate. The author considers it able to stand through almost all ordinary Ultimate content. A later update records the Hardcore character dying after over-tanking an extreme enemy on Ascendant, so this article does not claim safe Ascendant or Celestial farming.

Skills & Priorities
11Your main attack after obtaining Troll Bonecrusher. Keep its charges up for weapon damage and bleeding. Bind Assassin's Mark from Assassin's Blade.
A self-contained early leveling attack and your bleeding-resistance shred. In the finished build it hosts Falcon Swoop.
The sustain anchor placed under your feet. Stay in its area against bosses for regeneration and attack damage converted to health.
The Berserker area debuff, adding another layer of bleeding resistance reduction before you engage with Savagery.
An active heal and offensive support button, also used to stabilize when mechanics force you outside Wendigo Totem.
A two-handed weapon-pool skill adding cleave and sustain. Bind the Mogdrogen the Wolf proc here.
A persistent attack that follows enemies and hosts the Huntress proc. Add one point in Maelstrom for more proc opportunities and keep it active against bosses.
Scales two-handed base damage and physique. Build it up after transitioning into Savagery.
A permanent buff supporting health and regeneration. Bind Behemoth's Giant's Blood for another defensive recovery layer.
The Berserker permanent buff. Build Bloodfrenzy for attack speed and bind Crab's Arcane Barrier.
A defensive exclusive with damage absorption, rounding out the HCSSF-oriented safety package.

Gear
- ▸Start as Shaman and level mainly with Devouring Swarm. Around level 10, Werewolf plus Voracity can be used temporarily.
- ▸Once Troll Bonecrusher drops, respec into Savagery, Might of the Bear, Brute Force, and Feral Hunger for two-handed melee.
- ▸Spend attributes only to meet gear requirements while leveling and bank the rest. The finished build leans Physique with enough Cunning for accuracy and gear.
- ▸Prioritize resistances and armor absorption over damage affixes. In Hardcore, do not equip an apparent upgrade if it opens a resistance hole.
- ▸Troll Bonecrusher is the weapon core. Re-farm the targetable MI as you level, prioritizing bleeding/physical bonuses, attack speed, and offensive ability.
- ▸Gollus' Rings and Dreeg-Sect Legguards are budget candidates. Fill resistance holes before chasing ideal affixes.
- ▸The remaining slots work with faction gear and dropped MIs. The source's budget setup does not require a special set, merits, or twink gear.
- ▸Use components and augments to cap resistances, armor absorption, and stun resistance. Defensive fit matters more than copying every final item.
Playstyle & Notes
- ▸Open with Devouring Swarm and Bonechilling Cry to strip bleeding resistance.
- ▸Place Wendigo Totem under tough targets and keep Savagery charges active while attacking.
- ▸Maintain Wind Devil for the Huntress proc and use Feral Hunger's cleave and sustain.
- ▸Use Rallying Cry proactively before dangerous pulls, not only after taking damage. Leave the totem when sunder and ground hazards overlap.
- ▸Inputs are simple, but high sustain is not invulnerability. Treat extreme Ascendant enemies as a different risk class from Ultimate farming.
For Ultimate, 80% across all primary resistances is the floor, with overcaps for elemental, pierce, poison/acid, aether, and chaos. In Hardcore, push armor absorption close to 100% and do not neglect stun/freeze resistance. Wendigo Totem is sustain, not permission to ignore sunder or major ground effects.
This is sustained melee, so stacked sunder, resistance reduction, and large ground effects can overwhelm its healing. Damage depends on keeping Troll Bonecrusher current and finding useful bleeding affixes. Bleed-resistant enemies demand full resistance-shred uptime. As the source author's death update shows, strong Ultimate stability must not be extrapolated to extreme Ascendant encounters.
First priority is keeping Troll Bonecrusher current. Get the early copy from the troll in the Rovers' mini-quest in Old Arkovia, then use Benevald's shop near Blood Grove for later upgrades. Farm Gollus for Gollus' Rings. Once assembled, use the source-proven Ultimate Nemeses, skeleton-key dungeons, and SR 26-27 as the stable farm rather than forcing deeper shards early.
