Tower, Leaderboards, and Build-Tuning Guide
A live Season 14 guide from unlock and the 10-minute clear through score submission, leaderboard categories, rewards, and build tuning for speed, boss damage, survival, or highest-tier pushing.
After completing the Season Rank 2 Capstone, enter through the Artificer's Obelisk in Cerrigar. Only a completed run—fill progress and defeat the boss within ten minutes—submits a result. Highest completed tier ranks first, with completion time separating equal tiers. Prioritize a repeatable clear before maximum tier, and always check the live category and reset countdown in game.
Five Steps to Complete and Submit a Tower Run
51. Complete Season Rank 2
On the Seasonal Realm, complete the Season Rank 2 Capstone Dungeon to unlock the Artificer's Obelisk in Cerrigar. If the activity is locked, follow the requirement shown by the live client.
2. Choose the Category and a Stable Tier
Confirm that you are comparing the intended solo class, two-to-four-player party, Normal or Hardcore, and SSF category. Start at a tier you can reliably finish inside ten minutes.
3. Build Progress From Enemies and Orbs
The timer starts after leaving the opening circle. Group and kill valuable enemies, then collect progress Orbs from Elites, Champions, and Treasure Goblins.
4. Use Pylons to Reach the Boss
Time Pylons from destructible structures for dense packs or difficult floors and fill the progress bar. Avoid spending most of a buff simply traveling.
5. Defeat the Boss and Verify the Result
The run counts only after the spawned boss dies within the limit. On exit, verify the tier, completion time, and the intended leaderboard entry.
Four Rules for Reading the Leaderboards
4Only Completed Runs Rank
A strong partial score is not enough; a boss kill and completed run are required. Do not compare a failed attempt as a submitted clear.
Tier First, Then Time
The highest completed tier has priority, and completion time breaks ties within that tier. A very fast lower-tier run does not necessarily outrank a higher-tier clear.
Solo by Class, Parties by Size
Solo boards are class-separated, while group boards use two-, three-, and four-player categories. For expansion classes and all exact availability, treat the live in-game categories as authoritative.
SSF Has Separate Boards
Season 14 provides dedicated SSF Normal and SSF Hardcore leaderboards. Do not mix those results with standard characters or their item economy.
Progression and Placement Rewards
5Participation: Play the Tower
The official progression rewards include a Played the Tower threshold. Begin by recording participation at a manageable tier.
Progression: Tier 100 or Higher
Reaching Tower Tier 100 or higher is a separate progression threshold. Climb from consistent clears instead of forcing it on unfinished gear.
Placement Bands: 1,000 / 500 / 100 / 10 / 1
The official reward bands are Top 1,000, 500, 100, 10, and 1 on any leaderboard. Placements from different categories are not combined.
Each Cycle Uses Your Best Rank
After each leaderboard reset, a Halo cosmetic and Prestige Title based on your best rank are granted at the next login. Use the in-game countdown for the exact deadline.
Highest-Rank Emblem Next Season
Titles and Halos last through the current season; on first login next season, an Emblem reflects the highest rank achieved in the prior season.
Build Tuning by Goal
4Speed Clears: AoE and Movement
For lower or stable-tier farming, prioritize AoE, movement, resource recovery, and short setup. Do not cut so much single-target damage that the boss erases the time gained.
Boss Bottleneck: Single Target and Cooldowns
If progress is fast but the boss fails, restore single-target multipliers, debuff uptime, synchronized cooldowns, and concentrated damage during stagger windows.
Death Bottleneck: Defense and Recovery
Stabilize Armor, Resistances, Life, damage reduction, control recovery, and sustain. Choose defense when death costs more time than one extra offensive affix saves.
Highest-Tier Push: Balance Clear and Boss
For highest-tier pushing, repair the weakest link among progress speed, boss damage, and survival one at a time. Treat external clear tiers as results, not guarantees, and use a setup reproducible with your gear and execution.
Misreads to Avoid
6- Do not label the Season 14 Tower as Beta; it has launched, and 3.1.1 fixed an erroneous beta tag on the Obelisk.
- Do not hard-code the old beta's two-week cadence or dates as a live guarantee; check the in-game reset countdown.
- Do not republish a stale six-class list as current; verify the live display, including Paladin and Warlock in Season 14.
- Do not compare Normal, Hardcore, SSF, or different party-size placements as one population.
- Do not cling to a maximum tier you cannot complete; rewards and placement require a boss kill inside the limit.
- Do not present the fixed one-party-member reward bug as intended behavior; check official known issues if it recurs.
Season 14 and Patch 3.1.1 Corrections
4- Season 14 moved Tower and Leaderboards out of Beta and added progression and placement rewards plus SSF Normal and Hardcore boards.
- Patch 3.1.1 removed the erroneous beta tag from the Artificer's Obelisk.
- Patch 3.1.1 fixed Tower rewards being granted to only one party member.
- Patch 3.1.1 fixed Tower Halos appearing inverted or displaying on mounts.
