Inventory and Stash Guide: Keep, Salvage, Sell, or Upgrade
Protect equipped items, build requirements, GAs, Codex upgrades, craftable candidates, and expansion inputs before bulk disposal. Route everything else to salvage, sale, or storage by current need.
In town: favorite equipped and required items; compare highlighted candidates; salvage Codex upgrades and items for needed materials; sell junk only when Gold is the shortage; store Uniques, Mythics, GAs, and Cube inputs by purpose. Put uncertain items in one temporary tab with a review deadline.
Five Town-Cleanup Steps
5Favorite Valuable Originals
Protect equipped gear, required Uniques, GAs, last set pieces, and Cube originals first.
Send Candidates to Gear Review
Do not equip from Item Power alone; check required and editable affixes.
Choose the Salvage Goal
Read the live return for Codex upgrades, Forgotten Souls, appearances, or other needed outputs.
Sell When Gold Is the Shortage
Sell junk when crafting Gold is short; salvage instead when materials are limiting.
Time-Box Temporary Storage
Use one tab for uncertain items and review it after the next gear upgrade.
Decision Checks
5Keep: Irreplaceable Originals and Keepers
Prevent accidental salvage, sale, or conversion.
Check equipped, build-required, relevant-GA, Mythic, last-set, and well-rolled duplicate items.
Favorite them and split tabs by class, build, or pending craft.
Stop when stored items grow without a defined use or replacement test.
Separate Talisman and Cube inputs from ordinary gear.
Apply the same protection to base-game Aspects, Uniques, and candidates.
Salvage: Codex Upgrades and Missing Materials
Convert unused gear into the next upgrade resource.
Read Codex upgrade marks, salvage preview, sockets, and protection state.
After candidate review, salvage Codex upgrades and items matching material shortages.
Stop for equipped, last-copy, GA, or Cube-input candidates.
Cube Recycling has different outputs; read its preview separately.
Use Blacksmith salvage and Codex upgrades as the base-game route.
Sell: Refill Crafting Gold
Cover a Gold shortage when materials are already sufficient.
Check current Gold, next craft cost, Codex upgrades, and salvage-only materials.
Mark confirmed junk and verify the active tab before Sell All Junk.
Stop when Codex upgrades, needed materials, or candidates are mixed in.
Include Cube and Talisman crafting costs in the shortage.
Use the next base-game artisan cost as the target.
Before Pickup: Loot Filter
Reduce unwanted candidates entering storage.
Check upper rules, required affixes, GAs, Ancestral, Codex upgrades, and target Uniques.
Test Show, then Recolor, then Hide, and bind the toggle before hiding.
Stop if expecting non-gear materials to hide or class rules are untested.
Add Talisman sets and expansion Uniques to upper rules.
Build rules from base-game required affixes and Uniques.
Weekly: Review Temporary and Retired Gear
Return the Stash to a searchable workspace.
Search temporary, retired-build, duplicate Unique, low-roll, and Legacy items.
If the current build has no role and no original needs protection, salvage or sell it.
Stop just after a patch until role changes are reviewed.
Review Talisman thresholds and Cube recipes first.
Judge base-game gear against current skills, Aspects, and Paragon.
Inventory Boundaries
6- Favorite prevents sale and salvage; do not assume it blocks every conversion.
- Verify the active Inventory tab and junk scope before bulk disposal.
- GA count, Item Power, or Unique rarity alone does not justify permanent storage.
- Do not dispose of equipped, last-copy, set-threshold, or Cube-original items.
- No fixed sale value, salvage yield, or permanent keep priority is guaranteed.
- Live previews, Codex marks, and filter results are authoritative.
Current Cleanup Baseline
4- Favorites are protected from ordinary sale and salvage.
- Stash search and filtering can narrow candidates.
- Loot Filter recoloring applies to gear in Inventory, Stash, and vendors.
- Patch 3.1.1 requires weekly review of salvage materials, currency caps, and filter fixes.
