DIABLO IV / DIFFICULTY / TORMENT

Difficulty and Torment Progression Guide

Move difficulty by comparing stable clear time, deaths, upgrades, and reward gains in the same activity—not by rushing the highest tier. Expansion builds are primary; base-game builds use the same test.

Verified patch: 3.1.15 decision checksExpansion-first
QUICK ANSWER

Run the same activity three times. Raise one tier only when clears stay death-free, time does not collapse, and rewards advance the next upgrade. Drop back when damage, survival, or Resource fails, repair one item, then retest.
