Strengths

• Transitions into the endgame setup while retaining the leveling main skill and Soul Shard package.
• Encircling Terror overlaps Dread Claws around both you and the Abyssal Titan, handling packs and single targets with the same loop.

Limits

• Requires maintaining Shadowform and positioning Rampage and Laalish while frequently using all six buttons.
• Smooth completed damage progressively depends on Aspect of Deeper Shadows, Litany of Sable, Lurid Pact, and the Talisman set.
• Breaking Armor, Resistance, Life, or Shadowform uptime causes sharp survivability loss; no specific Pit or Tower tier is guaranteed.

Dread Claws

Main Core attack; take Ambush and Encircling Terror to overlap attacks around you and the latest Greater Demon.

Rampage

Primary summon using Abyssal Titan; place it into packs as the second Dread Claws origin.

Command Fallen

Basic skill maintaining Wrath and Hex application so Dread Claws can continue through longer fights.

Command Laalish

Mastermind command skill replenishing Shadowform and establishing another overlap position.

Nether Step

Provides Shadowform, mobility, damage reduction, and summon repositioning for both defense and setup.

Metamorphosis

Ultimate using Terror Demon to continually generate Shadowform; maintain it on cooldown as the endgame loop's engine.

Primary Soul Shard

Core choice adding Command Laalish while scaling Abyss damage and Movement Speed during Shadowform.

Shard Fragment

Fallen Rush and Abyssal Titan Rampage recasts apply Hex, connecting the loop to Abyss and Demonology damage.

Core Variants

Generates Shadowform and overlaps Dread Claws from both the Warlock and Greater Demon positions.

Talisman

• Prioritize a Seal with +1 Charm Slot and complete the Shadow of Harash five-piece to scale offense and defense during Shadowform.
• Default the sixth slot to Night Terror to convert Shadowform stacks into damage; before it drops, use a strong Life, Armor, or Resistance Charm.
• Prioritize Abyss/Demonology ranks on set Charms, then Maximum Life, Armor, and All Resistances; do not break defensive needs for a weak five-piece.

Runewords

• Use Neo + Prid to build Offering while avoiding damage and automatically cast Dark Prison for grouping; take its tree upgrades without placing it on the bar.
• Use Nagu + Que to generate Offering from maintained summons and invoke Earthen Bulwark for a Barrier.
• If Runeword uptime is unreliable, restore Sapphire in armor, Amethyst in weapons, and Resistance or Armor gems in jewelry, prioritizing caps.

Mercenary

• Hire Varyana for Movement Speed and grouping enemies into overlapping Encircling Terror areas.
• Use Aldkin's Fields of Languish as Reinforcement at the start of elite and boss fights to reduce incoming damage in its area.
• When durability matters more than farming speed, switch the hired Mercenary to Raheir to cover Armor and Resistance gaps.

Warlock itself requires Lord of Hatred, so there is no base-game fallback. Before the Talisman is complete, keep Mastermind and starter gear without assuming Shadow of Harash or Night Terror scaling.

Fresh level 70

Keep the leveling six-skill bar while stabilizing Armor, Resistances, Life, and Wrath generation. Do not replace both summon slots before Aspect of Deeper Shadows is available.

Shadowform starter

Secure Aspect of Deeper Shadows and the main starter Aspects, then replace Terror Swarm with Metamorphosis and Profane Sentinel with Rampage. Select Encircling Terror, Abyssal Titan, and Terror Demon.

Add core Uniques

Add Litany of Sable for Dread Claws and Lurid Pact for Rampage. Either can be introduced independently, but verify defenses and Wrath sustain before swapping.

Complete the Talisman five-piece

Complete the Shadow of Harash five-piece and verify Shadowform uptime. Keep strong individual Charms if a weak set would cost too much Life, Armor, or Resistance.

Completed expansion setup

Add Night Terror, Neo + Prid, Nagu + Que, Varyana/Aldkin, and raise Glyphs to 51. Mythic-quality upgrades are final optimization, not a starting requirement.
