Whirlwind Barbarian Endgame Build
A farming-focused endgame transition: start at level 70 without Uniques, stabilize Fury and defenses, then add Gohr's Devastating Grips, Ramaladni's Magnum Opus, and Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty in stages.
Endgame Baseline
2Strengths
- The main skill and Fury loop carry over from leveling, avoiding a full relearn at level 70.
- The starter works without Uniques and can begin endgame farming with ordinary Legendary gear.
- Attacking while moving suits repeated Helltide, Nightmare Dungeon, and material-farming runs.
Limits
- Low Fury stops both Whirlwind and its damage multipliers, so resource management matters most before completion.
- Single-target bosses are slower than pack farming, especially before Gohr's and Ramaladni are equipped.
- This is a general farming baseline and does not guarantee a specific Tower/Pit tier or leaderboard result.
Six-Skill Setup
6Whirlwind
Main channeled attack; maintain Fury and keep moving.
Iron Skin
Barrier and emergency defense for dangerous attacks.
Wrath of the Berserker
Damage Ultimate for Elites and bosses.
Rallying Cry
Shout that sustains Fury generation and movement speed.
War Cry
Damage window for dense packs and bosses.
Challenging Shout
Damage management for dangerous high-tier packs.
Arsenal and Weapon Assignment
Whirlwind weapon
Prefer the strongest two-handed bludgeoning weaponThe main skill takes weapon damage from its assigned weapon; use a two-handed slashing weapon temporarily if it is clearly stronger.
Weapon Technique
Polearm as the baseline candidateIt supports damage while healthy. If that Expertise is underleveled, use a developed Technique until the swap is ready.
Other three weapon slots
Prioritize Aspects and affixesRaw weapon damage from unused weapons does not add to the main skill; choose useful Strength, Critical, and Aspect bonuses instead.
Starter to Completed Setup
4Fresh level 70
Keep the leveling setup and stabilize Maximum Life, Armor, Resistances, and Fury generation first. Farm a difficulty where Whirlwind does not stall on normal packs.
No-Unique starter
Fill slots with Channeling, Fury, and Berserking support Aspects. Activate every slot before chasing perfect rolls at the cost of defense.
Core Unique transition
Add Gohr's first for direct Whirlwind power. Equip Ramaladni only after Fury is stable enough to absorb its per-second drain.
Completed baseline
Add Tuskhelm to reinforce Berserking, Fury, and cooldowns. Mythic Uniques are optional upgrades, not build requirements.
Starter Aspects and Affixes
12Aspect of the Fortress
Aspect of Heavenly Strength
Accelerating Aspect
Juggernaut's Aspect
Aspect of Anger Management
Aspect of Walloping
Edgemaster's Aspect
Aspect of Vocalized Empowerment
Aspect of Limitless Rage
Aspect of Channeling
Heavy Hitting Aspect
Crushing Aspect
- Main weapon: Weapon Damage, Strength, and Critical Strike Damage. On weapons not assigned to Whirlwind, prioritize useful affixes over raw weapon damage.
- Fury: Fury Generation, Fury per Second, Maximum Resource, and cost reduction as needed. Confirm you remain near full after equipping Ramaladni.
- Defense and comfort: Maximum Life, Armor, Resistances, Cooldown Reduction, and Movement Speed. Recheck gaps after every Unique swap.
Paragon Priority
5Prioritize glyphs that directly support Dust Devils, Vulnerable, and pack clearing, reaching radius breakpoints first. These boards are general candidates; adjust order and path for gear, Maximum Fury, and target tier. The heavily adjusted Dominate glyph is not an early beginner requirement.
Rotation and Content Fit
4- Open with Rallying Cry to establish Fury generation and movement speed.
- Channel Whirlwind and chain packs while moving around danger. If Fury keeps falling, stop and correct gear rather than forcing the channel.
- Use Challenging Shout for dense dangerous packs and Iron Skin for incoming heavy attacks; avoid wasting both at once.
- Layer War Cry and Wrath of the Berserker on Elites and bosses. Bosses cannot be taunted, so do not use Challenging Shout as a boss-damage trigger.
Helltide and material farming
Movement and area damage happen together, preserving momentum between packs.
Bosses
Improves with the core Uniques and stable Fury; do not count taunt-dependent effects.
Tower and Pit pushing
Tune defenses, glyphs, and Masterworking for the target tier; this guide guarantees no specific clear.
