What is the Angel Mythic Path? Basic Information Summary
The Angel is a mythic path representing the good alignment, specialized in healing and protecting allies, and annihilating demons. It boasts versatility, capable of fulfilling various roles depending on the build, from party support to a divine warrior fighting on the front lines. It pairs exceptionally well with divine spellcasting classes like Cleric and Oracle, allowing its full potential to be unleashed.

Mythic Rank-Specific Key Abilities and Growth Guide
The growth of the Angel path accelerates the moment you choose "Merged Spellbook" at Mythic Rank 3. It's possible to cast Lv6 or Lv7 spells while other casters are still using Lv3 spells. Here, we explain the important abilities (or explicitly stated feats / class features) to acquire at each mythic rank.
- Mythic Rank 3: The Angel path is confirmed. Acquire the signature class feature "Sword of Heaven." When used, it adds divine damage to the weapons of yourself and nearby allies, granting a bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls. If you are a Cleric or Oracle, choose "Merged Spellbook" here.
- Mythic Rank 4: An excellent opportunity to enhance "Sword of Heaven." We strongly recommend acquiring "Everlasting Flame" from the numerous upgrades. This makes "Sword of Heaven" a constantly active ability, dramatically improving combat efficiency. For mythic abilities, "Abundant Casting" to increase spell uses is the top priority.
- Mythic Rank 5: Learn new mythic spells. "Bolt of Justice," which deals high divine damage to a single enemy, and "Storm of Justice," which clears out enemies in an area, are incredibly effective in battles against demons.
- Mythic Rank 6: Acquire the mythic ability "Improved Abundant Casting" to further increase your Spell Slots. Once your caster level exceeds 20 and you can repeatedly cast powerful spells, you will become the party's main damage dealer.
- Mythic Rank 7: At this stage, with a sufficiently high caster level, acquire the mythic ability "Enduring Spells." This causes spells with a duration of "1 minute/level" or longer to last for 24 hours. If you acquire "Greater Enduring Spells" at the subsequent Mythic Rank 9, even "1 round/level" spells will last for 24 hours, making combat preparation almost unnecessary.
Optimal Build Analysis: Battle Oracle (Glaive User)
The "Battle Oracle" is recommended by almost all strategy guides as the build that maximizes the power of the Angel path. It's truly a versatile build, capable of leveraging high Charisma for attack, defense, and spellcasting abilities.
Build Composition
- Class: Oracle
- Mystery: Choose Battle. This grants proficiency with martial weapons and heavy armor, significantly improving front-line suitability. Furthermore, Revelations provide additional feats / class features and powerful self-buffs.
- Curse: "Wolf-Scarred Face" (bite attack), useful for an extra attack early on, or "Lame," which increases AC at the cost of movement speed, are potential choices.
- Ability Score Distribution: Prioritize Charisma. Charisma is extremely important as it not only determines spell DC (difficulty class) and spell uses but also adds a bonus to AC (Armor Class) via the Revelation "Nature's Whisper" (Nature Mystery) and to attack rolls via "Weapon Mastery." Secondarily, ensure sufficient Strength and Constitution.
- Race: Aasimar (Angel-Blooded), which has a bonus to Charisma, is optimal.
Progression Guide: Recommended Feats and Mythic Path Acquisition Order

Path to the True Ending (Ascension)
The Angel path allows you to aim for the true ending (commonly known as the Ascension ending), where you become a god. However, its conditions are very complex, requiring careful planning. The Angel path has the advantage of early access to the Pulura's Falls dungeon, ruins, and abyss in Chapter 3, allowing related research to begin sooner than other paths.
- Areshkagal's Research: You must complete Crusade Mode research projects, suchs as "Areshkagal's Mystery of the Wound," based on items, equipment, and spell components entrusted by the Storyteller. This is a mandatory condition.
- Fresh Nahyndrian Crystal: From Chapter 4 onwards, you can obtain a "Fresh Nahyndrian Crystal" by defeating specific demon lords (such as Deskari, Baphomet) with the special arrow "Midnight Bolt." If you have decided on companions who will ascend with you, you will need crystals for that number of companions (maximum 6).
- Lexicon of Paradox: You must obtain one half of the lexicon from Areshkagal's Laboratory and the other from Nocticula's Palace, then have the Storyteller decipher them.
- Dialogue with Areelu: In the final stages of the story, when persuading Areelu, it is crucial to choose dialogue options based on correct knowledge of her past and motivations.
- Prerequisite: If you aim for this ending, you cannot choose the Legend or Swarm That Walks paths midway.
Conclusion
The Angel Mythic Path is a versatile, offense-and-defense-integrated path that balances overwhelming spellcasting power through "Merged Spellbook" with powerful self and party enhancements from "Sword of Heaven." The Battle Oracle build, in particular, allows you to sweep away enemies on the front lines while wielding god-like spells, truly promising the experience of a Crusade commander. With its complex conditions, the true ending is achievable, making it ideal for players who wish to deeply experience the story. We encourage you to experience the heroic tale of annihilating demons as a celestial agent in the world of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
