SHAREXFacebookLINE

ARMORED CORE VI does not have a season system. The latest regulation is Ver. 1.09.1. This information is current as of May 30, 2026.

The first major wall standing before new mercenaries: "Operation Wall Collapse." This Chapter 1 climax mission is where many players first confront the S Rank challenge. This article thoroughly explains speedrun tips crucial for achieving S Rank, locations of easily missed Combat Logs, and tactics and assembly focusing on parts available in your first playthrough to brilliantly defeat the massive weapon "Juggernaut"!

Mission NameOperation Wall Collapse
Recommended AP (Armor Points)7,000+
Recommended Assembly / BuildLightweight bipedal or reverse-joint, balancing high mobility and burst firepower
Special NotesThis is a common mission that does not affect multiple ending routes.

Key Points for Achieving S Rank

To achieve an S Rank in "Operation Wall Collapse," "clear time," "damage taken," and "ammo/repair costs" are all evaluated, similar to other missions. However, speed of clear time is given the highest priority. Although numerous enemies are placed along the way, the basic strategy is to ignore most of them and proceed directly to the objective.

A crucial point to remember when aiming for S Rank is that restarting from a checkpoint will disqualify you from S Rank evaluation. If you fail mid-mission, you must restart the mission from the beginning. If you struggle with a boss fight, return to the garage and review your assembly.

  • Speed is paramount: Thoroughly avoid unnecessary combat and take the shortest route to the objective.
  • Cost awareness: Minimize damage taken to keep repair costs low. Also avoid excessive use of powerful but high-ammo-cost weapons.
  • No restarts: If the mission fails, select "RESTART MISSION" instead of "RESTART FROM CHECKPOINT."
  • Combat Log: Even if you make a slight detour to collect them, achieving S Rank is still very possible if you defeat them quickly.

Strategy Route Including Combat Log Collection

This mission contains three enemies that carry a "Combat Log," which expands the parts shop's lineup when defeated. You can collect them while pursuing an S Rank strategy, so be sure to try!

Strategy Steps

  1. Once the mission begins, proceed straight ahead, crossing the first low wall with Assault Boost (AB) to enter the urban area.
  2. 【Combat Log Collection】Upon entering the urban area, do not proceed immediately. Instead, take a path to the left. After jumping over the wall in the back-left, you'll find three target MT enemies in a slightly open area. They are relatively soft, so defeat them quickly with shotguns or similar weapons.
  3. After defeating the three enemies, return to your original route. Exit the urban area and proceed along the path leading to the massive wall. Along the way, there will be numerous turrets and MTs, but generally ignore them and rush past, except for enemies that pose a high threat with missiles.
  4. Upon reaching the base of the wall, you'll encounter the mid-boss, the four-legged MT "Gideon." This combat is mandatory, so defeat it quickly. You can easily defeat it by inflicting stagger with high-impact weapons.
  5. After defeating the four-legged MT, board the catapult in front of you to be launched atop the wall, initiating the boss battle against "Juggernaut."

Thorough Guide to Boss "Juggernaut"

The large mobile weapon "Juggernaut" awaiting you atop the wall possesses thick frontal armor, making frontal attacks largely ineffective. Efficiently defeating this boss is key to achieving S Rank.

Basic Maneuver: Get Behind It

Once combat begins, allied Armored Core (AC) "V.IV Rusty" will provide support. While Rusty distracts the Juggernaut, use Assault Boost (AB) and Quick Boost (QB) to circle around its flank and get behind it.

The Juggernaut's weak point is the exposed caterpillar track section on its rear. Focusing attacks here will allow you to deal damage efficiently. Using reverse-joint legs, which excel in jumping power, or four-legged parts that can stay airborne for a certain period, is recommended as they make it easier to jump over the Juggernaut and get behind it.

Effective Tactic: Concentrated Fire After Stagger

The Juggernaut's ACS (Attitude Control System) gauge builds up easily, making it a boss prone to being inflicted with stagger. Accumulate ACS overload quickly with high-impact weapons to stagger it and halt its movement.

Once it's in a stagger state, it's your biggest opportunity. Unleash high-firepower weapons onto its rear weak point. Equipping both hands with shotguns "SG-027 ZIMMERMAN" or "SG-026 HALDEMAN" to aim for stagger, and having vertical plasma missiles like "Vvc-70VPM" on your shoulders, allows you to deal massive damage during stagger. The "Vvc-70VPM" is a highly effective weapon as it attacks from above, making it easy to hit the weak point by ignoring the opponent's armor.

S Rank Strategy Assembly Example for First Playthrough

Here is an example of a high-mobility, high-firepower assembly that allows for both S Rank strategy and Combat Log collection, focusing on parts available in your first playthrough.

Part CategoryPart NameReason for Adoption
R-ARM UNITSG-026 HALDEMANHigh impact force and damage at close range. Optimal for aiming for the Juggernaut's stagger.
L-ARM UNITSG-026 HALDEMANWielding in both hands achieves overwhelming burst firepower.
R-BACK UNITVvc-70VPMEasy to target the Juggernaut's weak point with its vertical trajectory. For follow-up attacks during stagger.
L-BACK UNITBML-G1/P03VTC-088-shot vertical missile. Allows for saturation attacks when combined with VPM.
HEADHD-012 MELANDER C3Good balance of AP (Armor Points), attitude stability, and system abnormality resistance.
CORECC-2000 ORBITERLightweight with excellent boost speed and high Generator Output correction.
ARMSAC-2000 TOOL ARMHigh firearm aptitude, bringing out the full performance of shotguns.
LEGSLG-011 MELANDERStandard bipedal. Good balance of Load / Carrying Capacity and mobility, easy to handle.
BOOSTERALULA/21EHigh Quick Boost (QB) performance, contributing to evading enemy attacks and circling around.
FCSFCS-G2/P05High close-range assist performance, good synergy with shotguns.
GENERATORVP-20SGood balance of EN capacity and supply, making energy management easy.

This assembly is conceptualized around inducing stagger with shotguns and dealing massive damage with vertical missiles during the stagger state. Changing the leg parts to a reverse-joint type with higher jumping power is also effective. Rush through the mission with Assault Boost (AB), and aim for a quick decisive battle in the boss fight.

Summary

"Operation Wall Collapse" is an excellent mission that teaches players the fundamentals of AC6: "high-speed maneuvering" and "follow-up attacks after stagger" for S Rank strategy. Here's a summary of the strategy points discussed:

  • The key to S Rank is absolute "speed." Ignore all unnecessary enemies.
  • The Combat Logs are in the back-left of the urban area. You can still aim for S Rank even with a detour.
  • Boss "Juggernaut" has tough frontal armor, so always target its rear weak point.
  • Using allied Rusty as a decoy, inflicting stagger with shotguns, and then unleashing vertical missiles is an extremely effective tactic.

Refer to the assembly and tactics introduced in this article to aim for an S Rank clear. Overcome this first wall and prove your skill as a mercenary!
