Raven & Hellhound Pet Warlock

A pet build for the Occultist+Arcanist Warlock, led by Summon Familiar (Raven) and Summon Hellhound, with Curse of Frailty and Dreeg's Evil Eye providing support. The forum author describes it as requiring "zero piloting skills" with an endgame setup that has "zero greens," explicitly aimed at players who can't grind 8 hours a day.

TARGET CONTENT

The author (RSnoomak) posted video proof of defeating Mogdrogen (youtu.be/1G_XdKzi7pE), Ravager of Flesh (youtu.be/xsNRzeClEPc), and Callagadra (youtu.be/NhsT0l-JcsI) on v1.2.1.6-1.3 using the budget setup as-is. Lokkar is stated to die in "under 20 seconds" (no video link given). The same budget setup is also said to clear SR 26-27 consistently in 7-8 minutes. The endgame setup exists only as a grimtools link (by GSAsylum) — the post itself doesn't spell out the item list.

SKILLS

Skills & Priorities

6
1. Summon FamiliarPoints: 最大(+Mend Flesh)Priority: Top priority

An Occultist pet-summon skill that deploys a raven familiar. Its Mend Flesh modifier turns it into a healer for you and your whole pet crew. Bind the Dryad devotion's Dryad's Blessing proc here (33% chance on attack).

2. Summon HellhoundPoints: 最大(+Ember Claw)Priority: Top priority

An Occultist pet-summon skill. Its Ember Claw modifier grants Taunt, turning the hound into the crew's tank. Bind the Bysmiel's Bonds devotion's Bysmiel's Command proc here (summons a temporary extra pet).

3. Curse of Frailty + VulnerabilityPoints: 最大 + 最大Priority: High

An Occultist AoE debuff that reduces Physical, Bleeding, Poison/Acid, Vitality, and Elemental (Fire/Cold/Lightning) resistances and slows enemies (not Chaos resistance). Bind the Tortoise devotion's Turtle Shell proc here (100% chance at or below 50% health, nullifies incoming damage briefly). Since it's a health-threshold trigger, it fires the same regardless of which skill it's bound to.

4. Dreeg's Evil EyePoints: 最大Priority: Medium

An Occultist active attack skill that fires a projectile which detonates on impact, dealing Acid/Poison damage in an area. It has no cooldown and is limited only by casting speed and energy, making it a convenient anchor for devotion procs. Bind the Bull devotion's Bull Rush proc here (25% chance on attack, Physical AoE damage).

5. Iskandra's Elemental ExchangePoints: 最大(+Manifestation)Priority: High

An Arcanist toggle buff. Its Manifestation modifier converts up to 30% of your pets' Physical damage to Elemental and boosts their Elemental damage by up to 120% — the core of this build's "Elemental" damage identity.

6. Maiven's Sphere of ProtectionPoints: 最大Priority: Medium

An Arcanist defensive toggle that drains Concentration (energy) to maintain a shield absorbing a portion of incoming damage. Bind the Behemoth devotion's Giant's Blood proc here (15% chance on being hit, boosts recovery/regeneration).

DEVOTION

Devotion Route (In Order)

15
  1. 1.The cited guide's text lays out a route with multiple refunds and partial constellation investments (locking in specific stars without completing the whole shape): "Purple Crossroad -> Shepherd's Crook -> Pink Crossroad -> Jackal -> Green Crossroad -> Raven -> (refunds) -> 3pt into Rhowan's Crown for the proc only -> ... -> Ishtak, the Spring Maiden -> 4pt into Murmur." Which exact stars those partial investments land on isn't confirmable from primary sources alone, and the pre/post-refund affinity requirements couldn't be rigorously verified. This build instead keeps the guide's core constellations (Raven, Bysmiel's Bonds, Behemoth, Ishtak) and uses an independently redesigned, fully-verified 54/55-point route with zero refunds and zero partial investments, bridging with Bull, Tortoise, Panther, Stag, Dryad, and Lizard instead. 1 point in Crossroads (Eldritch).
  2. 2.Complete Raven (4pt / requires Eldritch 1, already met by the running total; grants Eldritch +5). A pure stat constellation with no proc.
  3. 3.1 point in Crossroads (Chaos).
  4. 4.Complete Jackal (3pt / requires Chaos 1, already met by the running total; grants Chaos +3). Also a pure stat constellation with no proc.
  5. 5.[Core] Complete Bysmiel's Bonds (5pt / requires Chaos 4, Eldritch 6, exactly met by the running total; grants Eldritch +3). Bind its Bysmiel's Command proc to Summon Hellhound.
  6. 6.1 point in Crossroads (Primordial).
  7. 7.Complete Bull (5pt / requires Primordial 1, already met by the running total; grants Order +2, Primordial +3). Bind its Bull Rush proc to Dreeg's Evil Eye.
  8. 8.[Core] Complete Behemoth (6pt / requires Chaos 3, Eldritch 4, Primordial 4, met by the running total of Chaos 4, Eldritch 9, Primordial 4; grants Chaos +2, Eldritch +3). Bind its Giant's Blood proc to Maiven's Sphere of Protection.
  9. 9.1 point in Crossroads (Order).
  10. 10.Complete Tortoise (5pt / requires Order 1, already met by the running total; grants Order +2, Primordial +3). Bind its Turtle Shell proc to Curse of Frailty.
  11. 11.Complete Panther (4pt / requires Order 1, already met by the running total; grants Order +2, Primordial +3). No proc — pure stats, including a pet total-damage bonus.
  12. 12.Complete Stag (4pt / requires Order 1, already met by the running total; grants Order +2, Primordial +3). No proc — pure stats, also with a pet damage bonus.
  13. 13.Complete Dryad (5pt / requires Order 1, already met by the running total; grants Order +3). Bind its Dryad's Blessing proc to Summon Familiar.
  14. 14.Complete Lizard (3pt / requires Primordial 1, already met by the running total; grants Primordial +4).
  15. 15.[Core] Complete Ishtak, the Spring Maiden (6pt / requires Order 10, Primordial 15, met by the running total of Order 12, Primordial 17). It grants no affinity but delivers a strong permanent pet-wide bonus as the endgame capstone. This lands at 54 of the 55-point budget (including 4 Crossroads points), with zero refunds needed anywhere in the route. The last point is left as flexible/optional.
GEAR

Gear

LEVELING
  • Levels 1-10: grab the rare off-hand Karvor's Conjuring Bone from a corpse-search event for an extra pet and early speed.
  • Levels 10-20: gear up with weapons from the Depraved Sanctuary (requires dealing with the resident Direini).
  • Level 35: pick up Devil's Crossing/Rovers faction gear, a relic from the Homestead vendor, and Guardian of Dreeg drops (Hidden Path questline) to shore up resistances and pet bonuses.
  • Levels 45-60: upgrade weapons/armor from the Bargoll fixed spawn in Ugdenbog and gear unlocked after reaching Honored reputation at Homestead. The author provides a separate "level 90-100 budget setup" grimtools link for this stretch.
ENDGAME
  • Push Cult of Bysmiel faction reputation to rank 4 to unlock the 1H dagger Bysmiel's Mindweaver as the build's centerpiece weapon.
  • The guide's "zero greens" claim is specifically about this endgame setup, and the same post says you start picking up Mythicals around level 80-90 - most of the endgame gear is random-drop. Whether the earlier budget setup is likewise green/Mythical-free isn't stated in the text, so that isn't asserted here.
  • A full slot-by-slot breakdown isn't written out in the post; the grimtools endgame link (provided by GSAsylum) is the reference for the complete final gear.
PLAY

Playstyle & Notes

PLAYSTYLE
  • Debuff with Curse of Frailty and follow up with Dreeg's Evil Eye while your pets do the fighting.
  • The Raven and Hellhound hold aggro well, so you're rarely the main target.
  • Low execution overhead, but the Raven can occasionally get stuck on terrain and needs re-summoning.
RESISTANCES

The post doesn't give a resistance table, but scatters specific warnings throughout: prioritize Pierce/Bleeding resist from Act 2 onward, Blood Grove and Depraved Sanctuary are heavy on Vitality/Chaos damage, aim for 60-80% Poison/Acid resist in Hidden Path, and expect a large resistance penalty upon reaching Ultimate.

WEAKNESSES

The Raven can get stuck on terrain. The Cult of Bysmiel reputation reward is guaranteed once you reach the required rank, but other Bysmiel-themed set pieces aren't craftable and rely entirely on random drops. The playstyle is repetitive, and the author notes it isn't for players who want a more active, dynamic build.

FARMING SPOTS

Farm the Bargoll fixed spawn in Ugdenbog for weapon material, Galakros for crystals and Black Legion reputation, and Pine Barrens for Homestead reputation. Eldritch Totems in Korvan City/Cairn Docks drop the Gate to Many Worlds. Cult of Bysmiel reputation is a direct path to the Bysmiel's Mindweaver dagger. The author states the budget setup clears SR 26-27 in 7-8 minutes at roughly 80-90 legendaries/hour.
