Acid Righteous Fervor Dervish
A dual-wield build that uses Righteous Fervor's Dreeg's Reproach transmuter to turn physical damage into acid, chaining weapon pool skills (WPS) like Belgothian's Shears off the resulting default-attack replacer. Lethal Assault (unlocked via Amarasta's Blade Burst) adds a big damage boost, and three movement skills plus cooldown reduction keep you constantly darting across the screen. Extremely easy to gear, with both strong single-target damage and farming speed — a longtime favorite archetype for its author.
Righteous Fervor
The author personally demonstrated a Ravager kill, Shattered Realm 26+, and a Lokarr kill. As of v1.2.1.6. Single-target damage is strong, but AoE is only middling and survivability is modest, so it demands an active playstyle.

Skills & Priorities
8The main attack. Its Dreeg's Reproach modifier converts nearly all physical damage to acid. Since it counts as a default attack, it can trigger weapon pool skills (WPS) like Smite, Amarasta's Quick Cut, Belgothian's Shears, Execution, and Whirling Death.
The early-leveling main attack, taken to unlock its Lethal Assault node. After switching primary damage to Righteous Fervor around level 50, keep just the 1 point needed to retain Lethal Assault.
An instant heal-and-buff that props up survivability for this constantly-moving build.
An always-on debuff aura. Its Night's Chill modifier strips resistances, stacking with the Murmur and Manticore devotions for heavy resistance shred.
An Oathkeeper self-buff that grants damage absorption.
A summoned pet. Its Celestial Presence node strips physical/fire/bleeding resistance, another key resistance-reduction source for this build.
A modifier that converts Guardians of Empyrion's aura damage into acid.
One of the build's movement skills, and it also lands hits — used as the binding target for Manticore's Acid Spray proc.
Devotion Route (In Order)
8- 1.1 point in Crossroads (Chaos).
- 2.Complete Jackal (3pt / requires Chaos 1, grants Chaos +3).
- 3.1 point in Crossroads (Eldritch).
- 4.Complete Raven (4pt / requires Eldritch 1, grants Eldritch +5).
- 5.1 point in Crossroads (Primordial).
- 6.Complete Eel (3pt / requires Primordial 1, grants Primordial +5).
- 7.[Core] Complete Murmur, Mistress of Rumors (6pt / requires Chaos 3, Eldritch 6, Primordial 6 — accumulated Chaos 4, Eldritch 6, Primordial 6 meets the gate exactly; grants Chaos +2, Eldritch +2). Bind its Rumor proc to Righteous Fervor.
- 8.[Core] Complete Manticore (6pt / requires Chaos 4, Eldritch 6 — accumulated Chaos 6, Eldritch 8 meets the gate; grants Ascendant +1, Eldritch +1). Bind its Acid Spray proc to Vire's Might. This uses 25 of 55 devotion points; the remaining 30 are free to expand into (Wendigo, Widow, etc.) if you pick up additional attacking skills to bind their procs to.
Gear
- ▸Start as Nightblade and use Amarasta's Blade Burst as your leveling main attack. Weapon damage type doesn't matter yet, so use whatever drops.
- ▸Build around Viloth's Ring (Act 1, from Viloth in the Devil's Aquifer), the two cold weapons from Spined Cove (Act 2), and the Devil's Crossing faction's Bladesworn Talisman.
- ▸Once you have dynamite from Cronley's Hideout, run the hidden "Hidden Path" quest for the endgame pants, Solael-Sect Legguards.
- ▸From level 41 in Forgotten Gods, collect 2x Gannar'vakkar's Sting (dropped by the King of the Sands) to fully transition into Righteous Fervor.
- ▸Weapons: 2x Gannar'vakkar's Sting, or Rift Scourge Slicer (which converts Cold to Acid) as an alternative core.
- ▸Chest: Chosen Raiment (from Sister Crimson or Segarius). Shoulders: Wendigo Vile Spaulders (Barrowholm faction). Belt: Malmouth Bladed Waistguard (Malmouth Resistance faction).
- ▸Pants: Solael-Sect Legguards throughout. Rings: 2x Viloth's Ring. Helmet: Fettan Mask.
- ▸Relic: Meditation is the single biggest upgrade (its blueprint is hard to target but can drop while leveling or farming); Bladesworn Talisman is a fine placeholder until then.
Playstyle & Notes
- ▸Keep firing Righteous Fervor, letting WPS like Belgothian's Shears chain off it.
- ▸Use the three movement skills plus cooldown reduction to stay constantly on the move and avoid damage.
- ▸Heal on demand with Pneumatic Burst, and save Ascension for the moments that need it.
- ▸AoE is only middling, so lean into single-target boss/elite hunting rather than clearing trash packs.
Enemy resistance shred stacks four ways: Veil of Shadow's Night's Chill modifier, Guardians of Empyrion's Celestial Presence node, and the Murmur/Manticore devotions. On your own side, aim to overcap main resistances by roughly 30% with components and augments; Slow/Freeze/Stun resistance come mostly for free from the gear setup.
AoE damage is only middling and survivability isn't especially high, demanding an active, mobile playstyle. Gannar'vakkar's Sting and Rift Scourge Slicer don't reach full potential until they roll an ideal affix (Venomfang and similar).
Farm the King of the Sands in Forgotten Gods for Gannar'vakkar's Sting. Hero-tier Rift Scourges around the Guardian of Dreeg area or Temple of the Three are the best source for Rift Scourge Slicer. Viloth's Ring comes from Viloth in the Devil's Aquifer, and Solael-Sect Legguards from the hidden "Hidden Path" quest.
