Which Hero to Choose
※These are subjective evaluations. Please take them as a reference. This guide aims to provide direction on which heroes to choose and develop. When considering quests, it's often impossible to defeat bosses with low attack power, so attack power is essential. A certain level of defensive capability is also necessary. Considering both offense and defense, Rogue-type heroes are strong because they can increase their attack with critical hits and improve their survival rate with evasion. If you prioritize pure attack power, Spellcaster-type heroes are the way to go.
Early Game
Thief, Monk, Musketeer
Mage
Critical hits feel very strong in this game. Therefore, Rogue-type heroes, with their high critical hit rate, can consistently contribute to quest completion from early to late game. They also have high evasion, leading to a good survival rate. In terms of pure attack power, Spellcaster-type heroes are still the best. However, they lack durability, so it's common to see them struggling in quests. Nevertheless, in the early game, you should be fine choosing heroes based on your preference without getting stuck in quests. The Monk has the highest critical damage. Other than that, they are similar to Thieves, but their damage output is overwhelming for the early game. The Musketeer is an upgraded version of the Thief, with higher base attack power and a 30% critical hit rate.
Mid Game
Wanderer
Ranger, Sorcerer
Similar to the early game, a higher critical hit rate provides more stability. I recommend the Wanderer, but the difference from the early-game Musketeer is that the Wanderer has a higher evasion rate. The Musketeer has a higher critical hit rate, so it's good to develop both. I personally like Rangers; they have good balance. If you want to try various heroes, by all means, give them a go. The Sorcerer feels like an upgraded version of the Mage, boasting immense destructive power.
Late Game
Samurai, Berserker, Ninja, Dancer, Spellblade, Geomancer
All of them are strong. The Samurai, whose first attack is always a critical hit. The Ninja, adept at critical hits and evasion. I believe the aforementioned are easy to use. The Dancer is also strong due to high base stats, but you might be satisfied with the Ninja, who becomes available earlier. If you want to swap skills without using Gems, the Ninja might be more cost-effective. The Spellblade and Geomancer still have outstanding attack power. In the late game, it becomes more of a skill game, where carefully selecting the skills learned can make a character strong or unnecessary.
How to Level Up Skills
Each hero has a preferred element. By equipping gear with the same attribute as that element, the element's value increases. When it surpasses a set value, the skill level goes up. Equipment elements are imbued by attaching enchantments to the gear. Some equipment also inherently possesses attributes from the start.
Skills are introduced in the list below.
